Hiring a Cook, Maid or Driver in Faisalabad: A Practical Guide

Faisalabad's textile-family households have specific staffing needs. Here is what actually matters when you hire, from salary to verification.

Faisalabad runs on textiles, and that shapes household life more than people from outside the city usually realise. Mill-owning and export-business families keep long, unpredictable hours, which means the household staff supporting them, cooks especially, need to work around a schedule that shifts week to week rather than a fixed 9-to-5.

We place staff for households across Jinnah Colony, Madina Town, Wapda Town, D Ground and Susan Road, and each pocket has its own rhythm. D Ground and Wapda Town skew toward newer, professional families who want a live-in setup with clear boundaries. Jinnah Colony and Madina Town are older, denser neighbourhoods where live-out arrangements with a fixed daily schedule are more common.

On salary. A cook here starts around PKR 35,000 a month and climbs toward PKR 60,000 for someone experienced with both daily meals and occasional larger family gatherings. Maids and helpers typically sit between PKR 25,000 and 45,000. Drivers run PKR 35,000 to 55,000, and if you need someone comfortable navigating the city's factory-heavy traffic patterns during shift-change hours, that experience is worth paying toward the top of the range.

On paperwork nobody wants to think about until it matters. We put together a one-page agreement for every placement: salary, pay date, the weekly day off, leave, and what happens if either side wants to end the arrangement. It sounds unnecessary until the first disagreement, and by then it is too late to write it down. We do this before day one, not after a problem shows up.

On why we check instead of trust the referral. Most hiring in Faisalabad still happens through a relative or a trusted contact at the mill. That is not a bad instinct, but it is not verification either. Every candidate we place has had their CNIC checked against NADRA records, a Police Character Certificate pulled from their own local station, and at least two previous employers called directly by us, not read off a letter someone handed us. If any of that comes back unclear, the candidate does not get placed, no matter how good the referral sounded.

On timing. Because we already hold a pool of verified candidates covering Faisalabad, most placements, cooks, maids, drivers, close within 24 to 48 hours. A live-in nanny or a home nurse can take a bit longer since fewer people are qualified and available at any given time.

If you are ready to start, message us on WhatsApp with the role, which part of Faisalabad you are in, and when you need someone to begin. Every hire is a monthly placement made directly between you and the staff member, backed by a one-time fee and a 6-month replacement guarantee if it does not work out.
